Student Admission and Transfer Regulations:
Recognized qualifications for admission to the institute:
– General Secondary Certificate (both streams), as well as equivalent certifications from Arab and foreign institutions.
– Azhar Secondary Certificate (both streams).
– Commercial secondary diploma — 3‑ or 5‑year system.
– Industrial secondary diploma — 3‑ or 5‑year system.
– Diploma from Technical Commercial Institutes.
– Diploma from Technical Industrial Institutes.
– Diploma from the Administrative and Secretarial Institutes.
– Students holding a Diploma from Technical Commercial Institutes (all streams) are eligible for admission into the second level of the Business Information Systems stream.
Coordination Office
– Students aspiring to enroll in the institute via the coordination system must register the institute’s name (High Institute forComputers and Management Information Systems, First Assembly) as their primary choice on the electronic coordination platform in accordance with the designated stamp number (574/6), using the confidential number present on their qualification and seating number.
Required Documentation:
– Original of the academic qualification.
– Original birth certificate.
– Direct application by submitting all required documents to the institute.
– Students who have obtained a qualification (General Secondary – Three-Year Technical Diploma – Five-Year Technical Diploma – Post-Secondary Institute Diploma) within the preceding year are entitled to apply directly to the Student Affairs Office at the institute, provided they meet the minimum admission criteria (from the previous year) – acceptance is granted under the ‘one opportunity’ condition.
Students expelled from other institutes and universities must meet the following criteria:
– They must have exhausted the maximum number of allowed failures; such students are treated as new applicants.
– They must change their previous major (in case the previous institute is equivalent to ours).
– They must not have been dismissed previously by two different institutions.
– A student may enroll as a new enrollee if expelled within the same academic year; if a year has passed since the dismissal, the student is accepted on a “single opportunity” basis. A student will not be accepted if the elapsed period exceeds one year.
– It is also required that the minimum admission requirements of the institute are met, whether in the year the qualification was obtained or the year of dismissal — whichever is more favorable for the student — taking into account the applicable military-service rules.
The required Documents:
– Transfers
– Students transferring from corresponding institutes: this denotes that the student has studied the same curriculum at their previous institute.
– Statement of student status from the previous institute, directed to the High Institute for Computers and Management Information Systems at the First Assembly.
– Copy of the academic qualification.
– Copy of the birth certificate.
– Six personal photographs (4 × 6).
– Transcript of grades and qualifications from the previous institution.
– The student shall be retained for re-examination in the same subjects in which they failed at the previous institute.
– Following these steps, the institute will seek approval from the Ministry of Higher Education regarding the transfer request.
– Students transferring from non-corresponding institutes: procedures will be conducted through the institute, indicating that the student did not study the same curriculum at the previous institute.
– Statement of student status from the previous institute, directed to the High Institutefor Computers and Management Information Systems at the First Assembly.
– Copy of the academic qualification.
– Copy of the birth certificate.
– Six personal photographs (4 × 6).
– Filling out a new student declaration.
– International Students (first you must apply to the institute and reserve a place).
– The General Administration for Admission and Granting of International Students is one of the general administrations within the cultural affairs and missions sector of the Ministry of Higher Education in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Its address is (2 Dareeh Saad Zaaloul Street, off Kasr Al-Aini Street, in front of Saad Zaghloul metro station).
– This administration is concerned with nominating international students for admission to various universities and institutes.
–The student must submit his papers to obtain approval from the International Students administration. A representative can accompany the student to assist and guide them through the process at the relevant office.
Admission Rules and Requirements for International Students holding the Egyptian Secondary Certificate:
The General Administration for Admission and Grants of International Students nominates students for admission to the Institute.
Admission Requirements:
- Obtaining the Egyptian General Secondary Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
- Passing the required qualifying subjects.
- Meeting the minimum admission score required by the institute.
Where to Submit Documents:
The student submits his academic documents to his embassy in Cairo or the Office of Arab Affairs and its address is (4 Al-Tayaran Street, off Al-Khalifa Al-Mamoun Street, Manshiyet Al-Bakri (Heliopolis – Cairo) no later than the end of September of each year.
Categories whose applications are accepted through the of Arab Affairs Office:
- Students who obtained the General Secondary Certificate from Egypt.
- Students who obtained an equivalent to the General Secondary certificate from abroad, provided that their mother is Egyptian.
Required Admission Documents
- The equivalent secondary certificate must be authenticated and certified by the embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the country where the certificate was obtained, or by the embassy of the country from which he obtained the certificate in Cairo. Students who have obtained the Egyptian General Secondary Certificate must submit the original success statement (white form).
- Egyptian birth certificate or an extract thereof.
- 6 recent personal photos (4 × 6 cm).
Completing the following documents (which are included in an envelope obtained from the administration or embassy in Cairo):
- Application form (Form 555- Coordination).
- Preliminary nomination card.
- Information form (in 3 copies).
- Declaration by the student and his guardian.
Note: The specialization (major) must be selected according to the minimum score determined by the coordination system.
How To Authenticate Certificates:
Authentication of certificates means obtaining official approval of the certificate, which must first be done by the issuing authority, then by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the respective country, and finally by the Egyptian embassy in that country and the Egyptian Cultural Counselor for countries in the Americas, Russia, and Eastern Europe. Alternatively, certificates can be authenticated by the embassy of the country from which the certificate was obtained located in the Arab Republic of Egypt, then by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Note: Certificates that are not authenticated or that are not certified by the embassies of the Arab Republic of Egypt abroad or the Egyptian Foreign Ministry will not be accepted.
Rules for students coming from other countries:
Admission is done via the Ministry of Higher Education of the student’s home country, by following the steps below:
The student must go to the ministry of his home country at the specified dates determined by the Ministry with the required documents to apply.
Required documents for application:
- Original certificate of qualification or copy (authenticated by the Egyptian Consulate in his home country and its Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
- The original birth certificate and a certified copy authenticated by the same two previous authorities.
- A copy of the passport.
- 12 recent personal photos of the student.
- If the student is employed:
He must submit, along with the above documents, a letter from the Civil Service Bureau stating his employer. This letter must be addressed by the Ministry of Higher Education in his home country.
- If the student is not employed:
A security deposit determined by the Ministry of Higher Education in his home country must be paid.
The Ministry of Higher Educationin his home country will forward student’s papers to the Embassy of the country in Cairo, which in turn sends them to the General Administration for Admission and Granting of International Students in Cairo. This administration is responsible for examining the papers and determining whether the student meets the required conditions. (note: acceptance or rejection is determined solely by this administration, not by the institute).
Note The student must pay what is called an Outdated Qualification Penalty at the International Students department. This amount is a fine paid only by the holders of academic qualifications in previous years. The amount is determined according to the number of years, through the expatriate department.
– After the files have been examined and the students have been granted admission to the institutes specified in the desire, the student receives (by himself or through the embassy in Cairo) the nomination card with his name registered in it, the institute in which he was accepted and the academic year in which he is nominated.
– The student brings this card and goes to the institute to pay the expenses and fill out the application form.
– After payment is made, the student can receive the institute’s card.
– The student can purchase the books from the library of the Institute.
Personal application directly at the Expatriates Department:
– The student goes on the specified dates to the General Administration for the admission and scholarship of international students in Cairo.
– The administration reviews these papers and determines the student’s acceptance or non-acceptance and then gives him the nomination card in case his file is accepted.
– The student submits the nomination card to the institute to pay the expenses and fill out the enrollment form.
– The student pays the required fees and receives the institute card.
