Violations and Disciplinary Rules:
Any breach of university laws, regulations, and traditions is considered a disciplinary violation, especially:
– Acts that disrupt the institute’s system or facilities.
– Disrupting or inciting study, or the assistant staff’s refusal to attend lectures and sections.
– Any act that is inconsistent with honor or dignity or violates good conduct.
– Any breach of the required examination regulations, and any cheating in an exam or attempted cheating.
– Any damage to facilities, equipment, or materials.
– Any organization of associations within the institute or participation in them without prior permission from the competent authority.
– Distributing leaflets, issuing wall newspapers, or collecting signatures without prior permission.
– Sit-ins inside buildings or participation in demonstrations that violate public order or morals.
– Any student who commits, attempts, or is caught in the act of cheating in an exam will be removed from the exam committee by the dean or his representative and will be prohibited from entering the exam in the remaining subjects. 
-The student will be considered to have failed all subjects on this exam and will be referredto the disciplinary board.

Disciplinary Penalties:
– Verbal or written warning.
– Deprivation of attending a lesson of one of the courses for a period not exceeding one month.
– Suspension from the institute for a period not exceeding one month.
– Deprivation of examination in one or more courses.
– Cancellation of an exam in one or more courses.
– Suspension from the institute for a period not exceeding one semester.
– Deprivation of examination for one or more semesters.
– Suspension from the institute for a period exceeding one semester.
– Final dismissal from the institute, and the dismissal decision is communicated to other institutes.
– The institute’s board of directors, upon the ministry’s approval, may reconsider the final dismissal decision at least 3 years after its issuance.
– If a student commits a violation, the institute’s legal affairs department will investigate him in writing and hear his statements regarding the allegations. If he refuses to be investigated, his right to have his statements heard will be forfeited.
– If a student commits a disciplinary violation that requires presentation to the disciplinary board, the disciplinary board’s decision is considered effective against him. If the student does not attend and appear before the disciplinary board, the decision is considered final.

The authorities competent to impose penalties are:
Professors and assistant professors:
– They have the authority to impose the first four penalties for offenses committed by students during lessons, lectures, and other university activities.

– Dean of the Institute: He has the authority to impose the first eight penalties, and in the event of a disturbance or disruption of order that causes or is feared to disrupt study or examination, the Dean of the Institute has the authority to impose all penalties, provided that the matter is presented to the disciplinary board within two weeks from the date of imposing the penalty.
– Disciplinary Board: It has the authority to impose all penalties.
– The board of directors issues the decision to refer students to the disciplinary board on its own initiative or at the request of the dean.
